We had our second St Gilbert of Sempringham Prayer Group Ordinariate Mass for the feast of Our Lady of Walsingham (September 24) here in Tasmania. This time the Mass was held at our lovely little Church in our nearby fishing village of Dover. It is called St Mary Our Hope and overlooks the Esperance Bay with its three little islands of Faith, Hope and Charity.
The Mass was at 4.45 pm and celebrated by Father John Joseph of the Little Eucharistic Brothers of Divine Will and Brother Stephen Joseph was the Acolyte and Brother Gilbert Joseph did the reading from Galatians.
This time we held it in the local Church which is a unique Harry Hunter design. A few years ago an arsonist had tried to burn it down just after it had been lovingly renovated. St Joseph's Affordable Homes while building houses for the poor behind the Church, restored it to its former glory and even put in a reverse cycle air conditioner (which is called a heat pump by Taswegians). Father John Joseph says the daily Mass there.
We held it there rather than at our Beit Achim at St Joseph's Hidden Place, due to fierce winds two days previously taking out trees that fell on the power lines and for three days the Brothers didn't have any electricity. It was very special for Brother Gilbert Joseph as it was his mother's anniversary of death (24 Sepember 2005).
Father John Joseph gave a wonderful homily about Walsingham and of England as Our Lady's Dowry. We again didn't take any photos so the photo above is from when Father John Joseph said his first Mass at St Mary Our Hope Catholic Church last year in September.

Gilbert Joseph recently learnt about a wonderful Catholic community in
England called the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham who have a centre
in Walsingham. He wrote to them and received a lovely reply back from
one of the Sisters of the Community.
